Behind this campsite in Ari\u00e8ge<\/a>, with its trees, flowers, and friendly atmosphere, there have been two enthusiasts since December 2020, a beautiful story<\/strong>, and a philosophy<\/strong> all their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who are we?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

It all started in 2008, at a campsite in Provence. Delphine<\/strong>, a lifeguard and activity leader, met Gilles<\/strong>, a masseur at the same campsite’s wellness center. A big clich\u00e9, yes \u2014 but it worked! They haven’t left each other since that day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delphine gained experience in outdoor hospitality: reception, entertainment, maintenance, technical services, bar-restaurant, caretaking, management assistant\u2026 She knows the business inside out. Gilles, meanwhile, continued his osteopathy studies while following Delphine on her adventures. This is how they settled in Ari\u00e8ge in 2011<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, they are also the proud parents<\/strong> of Paul, Rapha\u00ebl, and their little sister Lucie, born in December 2025. The family has grown \u2014 and so has the campsite! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The Story of Camping La Roucateille<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La Roucateille was founded in 1980<\/strong> with 7 pitches; it was then considered a \u201cfarm campsite.\u201d It has come a long way since then to become a recognized campsite with 71 pitches, still family-friendly, and rated 3 stars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2020, Delphine and Gilles discovered La Roucateille***<\/a> in the spring. It was love at first sight<\/strong>. Tree-lined, flowery, calm, authentic, with great potential for development: they immediately knew it was the right place, and the right time. They bought the campsite in December 2020<\/strong>, in the midst of a health crisis \u2014 because they were convinced that campsites had a more important role than ever to play in offering space, freedom, and well-being<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the very first season, they upgraded the campsite: construction of the heated swimming pool<\/strong>, new accommodations, and the opening of Le Bon Gaillard wine bar<\/strong>. The following season, a large playground<\/strong> and a catering service completed the offering. They also invested in Premium Cottages<\/strong> \u2014 high-end rentals with mountain and forest views, a first in Ari\u00e8ge \u2014 all while preserving the natural spirit and lush vegetation that make the place so charming. Careful landscaping, well-defined and open spaces, thoughtful daily touches\u2026 Season after season, La Roucateille is becoming this little piece of paradise hidden in Montgailhard<\/strong>, 5 minutes from Foix yet away from it all. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

For Delphine and Gilles, the rule is simple: you are not a client, you are their guest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being a guest requires preparation. They make it a point of honor to anticipate everything to welcome you in the best conditions<\/strong> \u2014 whatever your arrival time, whatever your type of accommodation. During your stay, they ensure you have everything you need and gladly share their tips for discovering the region.
