Nestled in the heart of the campsite in Ariège, La Roucateille, Le Bon Gaillard is much more than just a campsite bar. It’s the village bar. Open in July and August, from 4 PM to 11 PM, it welcomes both holidaymakers and residents of Montgailhard and the surrounding areas in a relaxed and warm open-air guinguette atmosphere. Here, there’s no holiday club or imposed program, just the desire to spend a lovely evening, a drink in hand, among good company.
Everything is also designed by parents for parents! Who hasn’t always wanted to spend a quiet evening among adults while the kids are having fun nearby, without having to stay at the table? The entire area is designed to keep the children occupied while keeping an eye on them, ENJOY IT!!!

Le Bon Gaillard is the guinguette spirit revisited: a large outdoor terrace, musical ambiance, lights that warm the Ariège nights, and a smiling team. Open to everyone, campsite guests and locals alike, it has become in just a few seasons the convivial meeting place of the village, commonly known as “The place to be”!
Settle in, order a drink, a platter, a grilled dish, or a fresh salad, and let the evening begin. Here, time stretches out gently, and that’s exactly what we wish for you.
On the menu: local, delicious, homemade!
In our wine bar in Montgailhard-Foix, the menu is short, generous, and rooted in the Ariège region. Everything is homemade or locally sourced — and you can taste it on the plate.
For drinks:
- Fine selection of wines to enjoy by the glass or bottle
- Local craft beers, including Brouche, draft beer from Saint-Girons
- Cold drinks and soft drinks, again with Ariège references
For food:
- Charcuterie and cheese platters — prepared with products from Victor & Isabelle, a renowned butcher-charcutier throughout Ariège, 2 minutes from the campsite
- Tapas and small plates to share
- Artisanal pizzas baked on-site and homemade fries
- Grilled dishes and fresh salads

Concerts, themed meals, and convivial entertainment
Le Bon Gaillard is also where evenings take on a whole new dimension. All summer long, Delphine and Gilles prepare a program of entertainment as varied as it is unexpected, because there really is something for everyone:

At the campsite’s wine bar, you can meet locals as the evenings are open to Ariège residents: come as you are, alone, as a couple, with family, or with friends. For some very popular evenings, reservations are recommended. In this case, you will be informed at the campsite’s Welcome Drinks, which take place every Sunday during the summer period.
