Forges de Pyrène in Montgailhard
A living museum of traditional trades, just a stone’s throw from the campsite—2 minutes by car and 15 minutes on foot. Discover a must-see theme park that retraces all the trades of the 1900s (gold panner, baker, schoolteacher, blacksmith, and more).
5 minutes from the campsite, renovated in 2019, with a 2,000 m² museum and archery and crossbow workshops for kids and adults alike.

Montségur and Roquefixade Cathar castles
Steeped in history, easy to reach, and striking.
So you don’t miss any of the region’s iconic sites. First on our list: the Parc de la Préhistoire for the whole family, where you’ll learn how to make fire, write on walls like prehistoric people, and get to know Ice Age animals as you explore the famous museum, where sounds, smells and atmosphere are all part of the experience!

10 minutes from the campsite: a supervised beach, picnic area, cable water-skiing, beach volleyball and pedal boats. A full day of activities for the whole family.
Discover Ariège in a different way, on an off-road scooter with Denis, a guide who knows every trail like the back of his hand.
Rides with the famous Mérens horses in the Ariège mountains, for a personal development moment with Camille and an unforgettable nature immersion.
Cani-hiking and cani-karting on the Plateau de Beille at 1,800 m altitude, with their sled dogs. A one-of-a-kind experience!
You’ll head out with Claire and Daniel, passionate carriage drivers, for a horse-drawn carriage ride in Ariège, departing from the campsite!
At the campsite Info Point, you’ll find all the flyers and contact details for these partners, and much more! And in July–August, some will even come and meet you at the welcome drink offered every Sunday! Hiking and mountain bike trails are also accessible directly from the campsite, via the municipal park and the Cathar trail.

Butcher and charcutier in Montgailhard, renowned throughout Ariège. Their products fill the Bon Gaillard boards and delight campers grilling on their pitch. Just a 2-minute walk from the campsite—an address you really shouldn’t miss.
With Marc, partner and friend, producer of exceptional sheep’s cheese in Roquefixade, just a stone’s throw from the campsite!
Craft draught beer from Saint-Girons, served exclusively at Bon Gaillard. A local beer, brewed with character, best enjoyed with a smile!
The idea is simple: fancy painting while sipping a drink!? For all levels, with equipment provided—just sign up once you’re at the campsite!
